Things I Like Thursday, Volume 6

Seen random stuff on the internet that you find hilarious or just want to share? Head over to Gina's to link up!

So I've decided that I'm going to keep posting these on Thursday nights, even though there's a 99% chance that Gina won't have posted hers before I do now that she's moved back to Arizona. Because posting "Things I Like Thursday" on Fridays makes my slightly OCD brain feel all hinky. So if you see this, then write a post of your own and head to Gina's blog to link up, only to find there's no post to link up with yet? Don't be surprised.

ANYWAY. First up this week, we have this: The ten cruellest things Joss Whedon has done to his characters. I wouldn't recommend reading it if you've not seen 99% of Whedon's stuff, because it's crazy spoilery. But it makes you realise just how much he loves torturing the characters he creates!

Next up, we have this. It's literally what it says. Just when you think it can't possibly keep going any more, IT DOES. It's pretty ridiculous.

Next, there's this article about celebrities who became famous through being total fanboys/girls. Not surprisingly, my beloved David Tennant makes the list.
You smug but utterly adorable git.

I also very much enjoyed this article called "I'm not a miserable bitch, really: I'm just an introvert". It sums up fairly perfectly my feelings on going to parties and making small talk (except that I would never go to a nightclub, because TOO MUCH NOISE AND TOO MANY PEOPLE AND GET ME OUT).

And finally, we have quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I have EVER found on Youtube. If anyone can explain this insanity to me, please - pretty please - feel free!

Oh, 1980s. You continue to make absolutely no sense. (Also, I'm sorry about your retinas. I really am.)

Found something online this week that you desperately need to share? Head over to Gina's and link up!

    1. As Sarah said below, I found it through Noa Gavin's blog: http://ohnoa.com/2012/05/two-steps-forward-two-steps-thicke/

You should totally read that post. There are gifs. It is amazing.

  2. Did you find the aerobic video through Noa Gavin's blog? Because if not, that's a crazy coincidence because she totes wrote an entire post on it yesterday. And I laughed so freaking much.

    1. I did indeed!!! I desperately wanted to include a bunch of her gifs as well, because they're incredible. But I felt plagiarise-y enough already just using the video of insanity...

    1. It really really is. I sat there going "Pff, it's going to go off the side. OMG. WHAT. Oh, now it's going to not go fast enough and it'll go off the end and fall... HOW IS THIS HAPPENING???"

  6. That video is hilarious. The 80s was is and always will be a car crash of a decade from which I still cannot look away...and I was born halfway through it.

    1. There are no words to do justice to that video. I mean. There's really nothing you can say. You just sit there with your mouth hanging open and a confused expression on your face.

I particularly like their scrunch socks.

  7. My ex looks a LOT like David Tennant. That gif makes me think of what my ex would have been if the lovely little boy had beaten the aggressive arrogant man.

    1. Well now I'm sad for you that you can never look at David Tennant without seeing your douchey ex!! :(

  8. Whoa, that video.

The knicker things worn by the ladies make my crotch hurt and my belly button cry :-(

    1. Right?!?!?! I have no idea how they were able to stand still for two seconds in those knicker things, let alone flinging themselves around the room wearing them!! *shudder*

    1. The entire thing is completely incredible. There's one moment where this girl has an "I am rocking this so hard" expression on her face, and I cackle hysterically every time I watch it.

  10. I started watching Doctor Who from the "beginning" (whereas before I started with season 5... someone told me to...?) and I now understand your fascination with David Tennant. You should have talked me into watching it months ago.

    1. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! I believe I recommended in Boston that you should abandon that silly 'start from season 5' advice and start from the beginning! ;)

Glad you're liking it now! :)

    2. Well I did like it then but my friend who I was watching it with (cause everything is more fun with friends!) didn't like it enough and blah... but then I had a new friend to watch with, we started from the beginning, and she is also highly motivated to continue watching it which makes it easier. I still like Matt Smith, but now understand that much of David Tennant's appeal is in his personality. Not that he's not also pretty cute. Especially in his glasses!
