30 Days of Books - Day 6

So you know that big decision I made the other day? Here it is - I'm definitely moving back to Melbourne when my contract finishes at work in July. It's both exhilarating and terrifying, and I'm slightly worried that I'm committing career suicide... But staying in Canberra and dealing with a 90% probability of unemployment would fit in rather well with today's theme:

Day 6 - A book that makes you sad

Initially, I had a hard time thinking of a book that makes me sad. But then this occurred to me, and any other possibilities were immediately pushed to one side.

Sorry about how mangled my copy is...
Deathly Hallows. It's really only the last hundred and fifty pages that do it. I can make it through Dobby dying without any problems. Because I can't help but picture the movie version of Dobby, and he's the Harry Potter version of Jar-Jar Binks.

But once they get back to Hogwarts? All bets are off and you can bet any money that I'm sitting there in tears with a box of tissues next to me. As excited as I am for Deathly Hallows Part 2 to come out in July, holy HELL I'm going to be a wreck...

  1. Yay on the moving decision!! I hear Canberra is good for jobs (I was looking at a couple over there a while back) but not so great for lifestyle.
