I'm baaaaack! Also, ow...

So I survived Central Australia in one piece, despite being attacked by the biggest freaking locust of all time (okay, that might be a slight exaggeration. But locusts have creepy eyes and far too many legs). And then less than twelve hours after returning to Canberra yesterday, I managed to brain myself on my bathroom cupboard, resulting in blood and headaches and badness.

Then I managed to convince myself that I had a concussion and that I was going to die in my sleep. So even though it was 11.15, I texted my friend R and said "If I don't come to work tomorrow, I've probably died of concussion." Her response was "WTF??" (The "Are you okay?" part that followed is less relevant here). So the clear message is that when in pain, I get melodramatic... Anyway, I turned to Wikipedia this morning (after I didn't die) out of curiosity. Wikipedia told me that some of the symptoms of concussion are light sensitivity, headache, crankiness, difficulty balancing, and difficulty in focusing attention. Urm, Wikipedia? I experience all of that on a daily basis. YOU ARE NOT HELPFUL...

And then today, my ever helpful brother C told me that it was a good thing I didn't die of concussion because "If you died of concussion, who'd make the bread sauce at Christmas??" Um... Thanks?

Aaaaaaaanywho, the point is that my head hurts and I can't be arsed writing all about the trip right now. So here's a little taster until I get my act together:

In case it's too tiny to tell, it's Uluru and Kata Tjuta at sunset...

K xx

PS. Yes, I know concussion rarely leads to death. Remember when I said that I get melodramatic when in pain? Yeah, I wasn't kidding...
